Most of us know the popstar Ellie Goulding, a blonde bombshell who did the soundtrack for the raunchy 50 Shades of Grey so no wonder MAC wanted to do a collaboration with this talented little beauty!
Ellie Goulding came onto the music scene as a natural beauty queen, but as the time has gone on her makeup has become more dramatic with smokey eyes and subtle pink cheeks and her MAC collection definitely defined her style.
The packaging for the products are sleek and have a high end appeal. Each package has a glossy black exterior with a rose gold interior featuring a rose gold triangle with Ellie Gouldings initials. Rose gold is just so pretty that it instantly appeals to many, especially with a glossy black background. The only I would say is that I wish the actual products featured the rose gold inside. A lovely addition to the products is the triangle and initials embossed on the lipsticks and blushers.
The lipstick I have is the Only You in Cremesheen, a creamy moisturising MAC formula. This lipstick is very creamy and glides onto the lips, it is my lips but with a peach tint so is a lovely lipstick for everyday especially for the hot summer days. You do need to reapply this regularly throughout the day so if you are after a long lasting lipstick this would not be for you.
The next product I have is the powder blush featuring a peach blusher and light brown bronzer. The bronzer is the largest part of this powder blush with an embossment of the triangle symbol, it is a light brown with tiny glitter particles. The peach blusher is a pretty summery peach colour that will be stunning with a tan! I have used these individually, the bronzer isn't dark enough for me but is nice for a flush of colour. I also have swirled these colours together which created a very pretty peachy bronze colour to the cheeks, the subtle shimmer in the bronzer worked so well with the peach shade so this is a winner combo! Get swirling!
Have you tried any of these products or any other within the collection?
