Review: The Vintage Cosmetics Gracie Lashes

Hi Loveys!

Here is an exciting *review for you all! As you may all know I have not worn false lashes, I have never been able to apply them and quite frankly am just not great at it so was excited to receive these beautiful "Gracie" lashes to review and practice with, and hopefully enable me to find some lashes that work for me.

The vintage cosmetics company, false lashes, falsies, how to apply, how to apply false lashes, fake, pretty, pink, review, tutorial, 50s makeup I had heard of The Vintage Cosmetics Company before and always adored the packaging, a vintage 50s vibe! The pretty pink background, adorned with flowers and a glamorous 50s lady appeals to the eye, the packaging is that gorgeous I would just lay these on my dressing table in the packaging!

These lashes come with a self adhesive glue and are re-usable which is a bonus! The instructions at the back of the package is clear and easy to follow, the lashes are easy to take out of the packaging and the glue has a handy stick to apply it with ease. I took the lashes out and applied the glue along the strip lash line, using tweezers I applied the lashes onto my lash line trying to get them as close to the root as I could which I admit I struggled with! Practice makes perfect I guess. I pressed them down, stepped back and admired what I saw!! WOW I have lashes that look natural and beautiful! I was grinning like Cheshire cat, I am hooked!

Easter FOTD Makeup Look! Tutorial!

Hey Loveys!

Heres a quick 10 minute tutorial for an Easter makeup look.

Step 1:

I applied Rimmel Wake Me up Foundation with my Real Techniques Stippling brush. MAC Select Cover Up for blemishes and as my eye base and bags!

Step 2:

Using my Vivo Unprotected palette, I used Forever as the base, with my MUA Shade 30- Pearl in my crease and in the centre of my lid. Finally from the Vivo palette I used Free on the edge an crease. As a highlighter on my brow bone I used my MAC Belightful Pressed Powder.

Step 3:

I used my Maybelline Gel Liner on my upper and lower lash line smudging it with my finger to create a smokey look on my lower lash line.

Step 4:

For lushcious lashes I used MeMeMe Fatcat mascara as a base and then Benefit They're Real mascara to add final va va voom!

Step 5:

For my eyebrows I used my Benefit Browzings. Filling in any gaps and defining them.

Step 6:

For contouring and bronzer I used my Sleek Face Form Palette, will do a review asap! For a flush of colour I used my N07 Natural Blush in Candy Pink.

Step 7:

For my lips I pressed on my cupids bow some of my MAC Belightful Pressed Powder to highlight with some Balmi Lipbalm for a natural lip.

Hope you like the look!

New year makeup!

Hello Loveys! So christmas is round the corner and then bam its new year! The end of 2012! What a year it has been for me, I will do a seperate post on my year, but in the meantime here is a makeup look that would be great for the new year!

1. Apply your moisturiser, foundation and concealor. I used Aldi Lacura Moisturiser, Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and MAC Select Cover Up to cover blemishes and for my eye area.
2. Apply a purple shade such as the purple shade in my Sleek Dar Mattes Palette all over and the at a V shape towards the edge of your eye area, then taking a turquoise shade like the one in the Sleek palette apply a line on your lower lash line and blend.
3. Apply eye liner on your lid, I used Maybelline gel liner.
4. Apply a turquoise glitter eye liner such as MAC Peacock liner on your lower lash line.
5. Apply lashings of mascara.
6. Apply a highlighter such as MAC Belightful Pressed Powder to the brow bone.
7. Finish with a pink lipgloss.

What do you all think? Its a shame that my camera didnt pick up the glitter or intensity of the colours as it is a bright colourful look.

Happy christmas!!! Xxxx
