Review: Eye Of Horus Eye Pencil

Hi beautiful readers,

Today is a review on *Eye Of Horus eye pencil in Scarab Sapphire Goddess Pencil. This pencil has a deep blue soft textured pencil with a smudger at the other end to help give that smokey eye look. I have fallen in love with felt tip liners and therefore have not used a pencil for quite some time. I applied this on my lower lash line and used the smudger to smudge the pencil to soften the look. The colour is an intense blue which looks black on intial application, its a stunning colour that gives an exotic look. The colour lasts all day without streaming, it is such a soft pencil and glides on easily. I found the smudger a god send, helping me create smokey looks in seconds.

Review:Highstreet eyeliner......Rimmel VS Bourjois

Hi Loveys,

Todays post is a comparison post on two highstreet eyeliners, Bourjois and Rimmel, lets see which one wins my vote.

Bourjois 24hr Ultra Black Liner.

This liner is a good liner, it has an easy to use nib that gives a precise line, it can come out quite thick at times so you need to be light handed if you want a thin line. The packaging is a box standard black but a sleek tube so easy to grip. The colour is black but after a couple of weeks use it began to dry out which I wasn't impressed about. I liked the effect and ease of use but I just wish it would last a lot longer. The liner did not last that long and was smeared on my eyelids within a couple of hours.

Retails at £6.99

Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner.

This liner is from Rimmel, it is an easy to use liner with an ultra thin nib which gives a precise thin line. The packaging is box standard black but a thicker tube then the Bourjois liner so a bit chunky to hold. The colour is black which needs layers to get a super black look which was a little annoying. I adored the nib, and it lasted longer then the Bourjois liner. The liner lasted longer then the Bourjois liner but did smear by the end of the day so would need reapplying.

Retails at £5.49

Above swatch- Rimmel Scandaleyes
Below- Bourjous Liner

I would buy Rimmel Scandaleyes again rather then the Bourjois liner, due to the super thin nib and longer lasting ink, I wish both brands would last longer as they aren't exactly on the cheaper side of the hightstreet!

Have you used any of these? Which liner is your favourite?

A xx
