Review: Lacura Body Butter

Hi Loveys!

So as you can gather I am a lover of all things Lacura, the effectiveness, the price and the results are just right for me. Today is a review of the body butters that are now available in stores at Aldi supermarkets.

The body I am reviewing is the Shea butter scent, a sweet nutty scent that is super creamy. Lacura states the cream is a "luxurious and moisturising formulation containing Shea butter. This nourishing body butter with vitamin complex will help to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth".
This creamy consistency is moisturising and long lasting, the cream sinks into the skin and does not leave a greasy residue which I find with some body butters. My favourite body butter has always been The Body Shop, they retail around £11, this retails at £1.99, I was excited to try this but thought it would take a lot for me to be converted but oh my I have truly and honestly found my new holy grail body butter that left my skin feeling soft and smelling sweet! I would highly recommend this product, I can not wait to try the other scents available. I think if we did a blind test of high end to high street this would be mistaken for a high end product, it certainly does feel luxurious and does not match the £1.99 bargain price!

Its getting colder, so I feel it could be time to put the heating on! My dressing gown is ready and my snug winter slippers are on my feet. I got to say I don't like the cold weather, but I am pretty excited for Christmas this year with the family, so have started Christmas shopping, well I have nearly finished! Insane I know!

Todays post is a review of the Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub. I purchased the shea butter version a while ago and used it up pretty quickly as it was a favourite of mine, so I needed a new scrub and instead of the shea butter I decided to chose the coconut version as love the coconut body butter!

The scrub appeared to be creamy and scrumptious in the pot, but it did disappoint as it didn't smell as good as the body butter and did not make me feel like my body had been scrubbed. I used this in the shower and found you needed quite a bit to feel like your body was being exfoliated, then rinsing the scrub off was a nightmare as the coconut flakes would remain on my body! The scrub is creamy in formula and added moisture to the skin which was a good factor but overall the scrub did not do what I expected, think I will definitely return to my favourite shea butter scrub from Body Shop in the future and stick to the coconut body butter rather then the scrub version.

Soak Yourself Bath Ritual Recipe Kit Review

As some of you may know It was my birthday on the 19th March, and on twitter (@lil_alessia) I was tweeted by a lovely company who offered to send my a kit as a birthday present! How kind! I had a choice and decided on the "Broken Heart Soak" no relevance to me but the scents were oh so me! I was super excited to recieve the kit as they looked amazing.

My kit arrived and I certainly wasnt disapointed, a gorgeous sturdy yellow box filled with delights. The packaging looked expensive and made it feel luxurious. I opened the box the find tissue paper and ribbon, with some blue shredded card to keep the goodies safe with a "ticket" stating "One hour to yourself, or longer, should you so require" This made me smile and feel like I was in Charlie and the chocolate factory with a golden ticket!

Inside was the following

A lot right! Also included is an information leaflet on the ingredients, which are organic, a ritual on how to have the best soak with whats included and finally a section om what its all about. To make you feel even better 50p from each sale goes to charities in need of support. This company not only are ethical but they make you feel valued as a customer and truely give you an experience that is needed in this stressful world we live in.

Each box is £40.00 which I feel is value for money.

I followed the instructions and added 4 drops of roil, fifteen of sandlewood and nine of lavender, the oils are stunning, they made me feel relaxed, and my tension floated away. I had a gorgeous cup of jasmine tea and lit my candle. I truely have never had a bathing experience like this and felt like I wanted to stay there all night! I rarely have baths due to no time at all, but this certainly made me want an experience like this more often! I felt like I had a homemade spa! The soap is gorgeous on the skin and leaves my skin feeling beautiful. The bath fizz fizzed away and left my bathroom smelling like I walked into a spa treatment room! I love the fact that this kit will last me a good few goes and I certainly will want to repurchase another box of delights, also this would be a perfect present for anyone!

Body shop haul!

Hello everyone!! So I saw that Body Shop had a super offer of 35% off and you get a free body butter! Well hey there Body Shop here I come! I ordered the following.

For my face- Facial buffer which gently exfoliates the skin. I really need to get this into my skincare routine as dont exfoliate! Hand to face, I know its awful! To help with this tragedy I got the Vitamin C facial cleansing polish which smells amazing! Lets see how It works!

For my body- I havent exfoliated my body for a while now, dreadful I know! So decided on this Shea Butter Body Scrub! Lets get scrubbing! Then the free body butter, I always get the coconut but decided to try something new so opted for the papaya! And boy am I pleased! It smells amazing!!!

Will review each product shortly! Would love to know what you all use and recommend from body shop?
