Review: Makeup Revolution Blusher and Highlighter!

Hello loveys,

So if you haven't already heard here is a new makeup brand on the scene Makeup Revolution, a brilliant affordable brand so on the bandwagon I went.

I purchased the powder blushes in Hot! and Treat! which is only...wait for it.....£1!! Hot powder blush is a hot shade of pink, bright and gorgeous, perfect for summer whilst Treat is a beautiful coral shade. The only thing that isn't great is the packaging which is quite flimsy and the lid can break away with ease but for £1 I am not going to complain. I swatched the blushes and couldn't believe the pigmentation so got straight to applying them to the apples of my cheeks, they applied with ease and you don't need a lot at all! I love that they are matte, I would highly recommend these as they are beautiful and feel high end rather then highstreet.

The next product is the highlighter in peach lights, a pretty highlighter that yet again is amazing for only £3.00, it has flimsy packaging but amazing pigmentation. Again, you don't need a lot and a little goes a long way. I adore this shade, it has a hint of peach running through it that highlights your cheekbones and brow bones beautifully, you also get a lot for your money! I would highly recommend this.

Review: Karora Instant Tan

Hi Loveys!

Todays review is on the *Karora Instant Tan Wash Off which retails at £12.99. I am starting to become a fan of fake tan and was pleased to be able to discover a brand that was new to me. Karora have various different types of tanning products but I am testing out the wash off version, and to me wash off literally means it will wash off in an instance, here I am imagining orange drops running in the bath!

I opened the bottle and squeezed a small amount on my arm, my golly gals be careful it is alarming at first as its so dark and when I was rubbing it in it didn't seem to sink in at all so just use a little! So off I trot to wash it off and start again this time using a smaller amount and found it rubbed in nicely, the product is shimmery so if you prefer a matte look I wouldn't recommend this.
The product smells just like chocolate! It contains "pure active botanicals" such as Grape extract, Chestnut extract and Argan oil, being an ingredient Karora loves to use. All these ingredients are great for your skin which help provide nourishment.

I did notice an instant tan but found it looked quite orange so it isn't a product I personally would buy again but can see why people would enjoy using it, its easy to use and does give an instant tan to the skin, it definitely left my skin feeling soft, another bonus with this product is how quickly it comes off, I popped in the shower and boom off it came instantly, but with this I would worry about being caught in the rain!

Review:Highstreet eyeliner......Rimmel VS Bourjois

Hi Loveys,

Todays post is a comparison post on two highstreet eyeliners, Bourjois and Rimmel, lets see which one wins my vote.

Bourjois 24hr Ultra Black Liner.

This liner is a good liner, it has an easy to use nib that gives a precise line, it can come out quite thick at times so you need to be light handed if you want a thin line. The packaging is a box standard black but a sleek tube so easy to grip. The colour is black but after a couple of weeks use it began to dry out which I wasn't impressed about. I liked the effect and ease of use but I just wish it would last a lot longer. The liner did not last that long and was smeared on my eyelids within a couple of hours.

Retails at £6.99

Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner.

This liner is from Rimmel, it is an easy to use liner with an ultra thin nib which gives a precise thin line. The packaging is box standard black but a thicker tube then the Bourjois liner so a bit chunky to hold. The colour is black which needs layers to get a super black look which was a little annoying. I adored the nib, and it lasted longer then the Bourjois liner. The liner lasted longer then the Bourjois liner but did smear by the end of the day so would need reapplying.

Retails at £5.49

Below- Bourjous Liner

I would buy Rimmel Scandaleyes again rather then the Bourjois liner, due to the super thin nib and longer lasting ink, I wish both brands would last longer as they aren't exactly on the cheaper side of the hightstreet!

Have you used any of these? Which liner is your favourite?

Review: MAC Blusher Breath Of Plum

MAC, Review, Blusher, Breath of plum, berry, swatch, pretty, winter, autumn, cheeks, face, makeup, blogger, Hello Loveys,

Todays review is on the MAC blusher in Breath Of Plum, a gorgeous warm blush that adds a flush of berry to the cheeks, perfect teamed with a smokey eye.

MAC, Review, Blusher, Breath of plum, berry, swatch, pretty, winter, autumn, cheeks, face, makeup, blogger, This is my first MAC blusher in years, I first bought Dolly Mix when it came out in the Limited Edition collection many moons ago, it had fun white and Japanese inspired graffiti, if I am right as can't quite remember the exact description, I fell in love instantly but left getting a new one till I had gone to another MAC store which I hadn't and time flew past without me thinking twice about purchasing a blusher again, but its time!

This blusher has great pigmentation, it is a sheertone blush which means you can build up the colour rather then looking like you have applied a tone of blusher in one go. I wanted to pick a blusher that was warm and not a shade I had tried before, and boy is this a beauty, it is so pretty, and have not seen another like this on the beauty market. The only thing about this blusher is that it would only suit, in my opinion, an autumn winter look so isn't one to use all year round which I didn't think about at the time, just something to think about if you want to buy this blusher! The name Breath Of Plum is something that attracted me to this as its such an unusual inviting name, where you imagine sitting by the fire, your cosy clothes on after a warm bath with a nice cup of tea and a candle flicking nearby.I will definitely want to add to the collection and will be going straight for Dolly Mix as still remember its beauty, but would highly recommend this if you are looking for a warm berry shade that gives you that just got indoors from a frosty walk look.

Review: MAC Up The Amp Lipstick

Hello loveys,

How are you all? Hope you are all well! I am not enjoying this weather that's for sure! What terrible storms we have here in the UK, I hope you are all safe and well as know they have caused terrible circumstances for many.
MAC, Up The Amp, Purple, Lipstick, Review, Blogger, Pretty,

Todays post is on the MAC Up The Amp Lipsitck, a purple blue toned shade that can scare a few people, but no need to fear as this would suit so many skin types!
MAC, Up The Amp, Purple, Lipstick, Review, Blogger, Pretty,
This amplified formula is easy to apply, moisturising with a shiny finish and opaque colour, and as always with MAC I find the formula lasts well on my lips.

MAC, Up The Amp, Purple, Lipstick, Review, Blogger, Pretty, Swatch
This is such a pretty shade that is so unusual which is definitely a shade you may need to get used to but you either mix it up with other shades or wear alone with simple eye makeup such as a winged liner on the eyes and warm bronzer.

I love this lipstick and would definitely recommend this to you lovely lot, a great lipstick for those wanting to step out of their comfort zone without going to an extreme. This gorgeous shade will be great when spring arrives, a lovely addition to your lipstick collection.

Have you tried this shade?

Review: Rimmel Long Lasting Lipstick

 Hello Loveys!

Todays post is a review on the Rimmel Long Lasting Lipstick including a swatch. I purchased this lipstick in the hope to find a peachy toned nude shade. This lipstick shade 250 Birthday Suit seemed perfect! I rushed home and applied immediately. The shade is a gorgeous nude, with a hint of peach and shimmer.

Rimmel states the lipsticks is "long lasting", now don't get me wrong I love the shade and the fact that it smells amazing!!!! But it is drying and I did have to reapply a few times so I would not say it is particularly long lasting. I would repurchase another Rimmel lipstick within this range as I do love the shades available and they apply well but I would ensure I had applied lipbalm beforehand and make sure I checked whether it needed reapplying throughout the day with a handy mirror in my bag!

Have you purchased one from this range? If so, how did you find it?

Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

Hello Beauty Kings and Queens!

Here is a review on a lipstick that I find is a perfect shade for the summer! The lipstick I am reviewing is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 415 Pink In The Afternoon!

review revlon lipstick swatch pink makeup

Revlon state this lipstick is "infused with silk and vitamins for smooth, conditioning colour". I would definately agree that this lipstick is smooth and has a great colour that lasts. The lipstick is moisturising and comes in 31 colours! Ranging from red, orange and nudes! It retails at £7.49 on boots.

I dont mind the packaging, it has gold detailing which some find tacky but I dont think it does particularly look that bad, it doesnt look cheap at all.

The thing that puts me off this lipstick is that after a while of wearing it, it creases! So when wearing it I make sure that I am rubbing my lips together, sounds odd I know! But the shade is so perfect for summer that I cant resist wearing it!

Review: Jelly Pong Pong Mascara

Makeup Review Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara
Jelly Pong Pong Mascara
Hello Beauties!

Today on the blog is a review on the Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara. I recieved this mascara in my Glossybox and was delighted as love trying makeup that arrives in a beauty box as they are normally items either that I have not heard of or items I have lusted after.

Jelly Pong Pong was founded by Susan Chyi, the products are made in Italy from botanical blends, are not tested on animals and free from nasty chemical type ingredients.

jelly pong pong fairy lashes reviewThe packaging is what I love when it comes to the brand Jelly Pong Pong, its pretty, feminine and stands out from others. The mascara has a gorgeous name "Fairy Lashes" that suggests it is delicate and adds a flutter to the lashes. The mascara states it is formulated to "make eye lashes flutter and flap" the formula is water proof and makes lashes "thicker and curvier while allowing them to be spectacularly soft and light". I got so excited to try this so whipped this out and applied it. It gave my lashes a natural yet long lashed look. I loved the look it gave me and felt that I would start to use this as my current favourite had dried up! I felt my eyes looked bigger as each lash had seperated with a great curl!

Fairy Lashes Effect

But.....when I went to take the mascara off it was a nightmare! It wouldnt come off easily with my eye makeup remover, instead I had to pull it off! It came off like chewing gum and unfortunately some lashes went with it. It wasnt made clear that it was a formula that needed to be taken off with a specific type of remover or that it was a funky formula needing some unusual technique. So after the smiles and joy of finding a new mascara instead I was disappointed with the end result of getting the product off my lashes.

You can purchase this product online for £15.00

Review: Bellapierre Super Gloss

vanilla pink review lipgloss bellapierre
 Hello Beauty Queens and Kings!

I have got a lovely review for you all on the blog today. A Bellapierre Cosmetics Super Gloss Lipgloss in Vanilla Pink that I recieved in a Glossybox.

Bellapierre Cosmetics was founded by David Oren in 2005. The company produce and manufacture there own products, they are the "fastest growing" mineral makeup brand. They are 100% natural and can be found on

http://www.bellapierre.co.uk/shop/index.php/

review bellapierre swatch pink vanillalipgloss review pink bellapierre vanilla beauty
I love the packaging of this liploss, with a handy size to pop in your clutch bag, with a great angled applicator. The colour "Vanilla Pink" sounds scrumptious and girly.

The scent is sweet and smells of vanilla cupcakes! The colour goes on well and has a good pigmentation which I dont find with many lipgloss'. I do not find it lasts particularly long but it is a lipgloss that can be worn alone or on top of your favourite lipstick.

Here is a swatch of the fab shade, an everyday shade which is easy to wear with any colour outfit or lipstick.

Have you tried this brand before?

MAC Lipstick Review Twig

Hello Loveys!

MAC Lipstick Twig Satin
MAC Twig Lipstick

As you all know I LOVE MAC lipsticks! I was super lucky to have six empty MAC items to give to the counter to get my free lipstick, known as "back to MAC". I was in a hurry to quickly chose the shade Twig. A satin finish lipstick that is a brown neutral that has a pink tinge.

What is satin finish?

Satin finish is a creamy slightly shear lipstick that is semi-matt.

The lipstick is gorgeous, it applies well and gives my lips a lovely natural finish that doesnt leave my lips feeling dry. The shade is a slightly darker tone then my natural lip colour so is great to wear when I have created smokey eyes! It isnt as long lasting as MAC matte shades but still wore well and I didnt need to reapply repeatedly!

Benefit Blogger Event

Hello Loveys!

I was invited to attend the Benefit Bloggers Event! How excited was I?! I attended with some gorgeous bloggers I knew from the bbmeet and was so excited to see what Benefit had to offer and to catch up with the lovely ladies!
We arrived at 6pm and was greeted with a gorgeous table full of treats, pink decorations and a glass of pink lemonade! I felt like I was at a princess party! Loved it! The Benefit ladies were so lovely and showed us a demonstration on the new palettes "World Famous Neutrals!" They are so pretty, each beautifully packaged box contains four matte eyeshadows and two cream eyeshadows. The box also has a mirror and how to style fold out leaflet! They come in three various shades "Easiest nudes ever soft flattering eyeshadows", "Sexiest nudes ever dramatic, daring eyeshadows" and "Most glamorous nudes ever, rich, illuminating eyeshadows". They are well pigmented and are such pretty shades that would look great day or night. Each palette kit is £23.50.

We then had a quiz, where I learnt that Benetit was the first product launched because a lady who was a dancer wanted colour for her nipples!we won a lipgloss each, I won Coralista! A peachy shade. We then had a raffle where Sasha won a bag of treats and then were treated to a nose around Boots! I loved this event, it was laid back, informative and exciting!! Thanks for the invite ladies!
